I’ve been a writer for many years now, and I’ve been asked from time to time if I’ve ever published anything.
Well, yes, I have. But that was work.
Writing this blog for the past 3 years has been play. I get to write about what I love — my life with my husband and dogs.
And I get to write on my own terms. Mostly, that is. Over these three years, I’ve tried to take the most positive view of any situation or person that has come into my dog-life.
However, I do have opinions, and as Russ recently pointed out, we’re not exactly beginners anymore. I have opinions about dog shows, grooming, hunt tests and hunting, dog training, dog sports, breeding, all kinds of things. I also have fears of my own. All of these will inevitably show themselves in my blog.
And all of that means that sometimes I might say something you don’t like. Well, I guess that comes with the territory. But I might also say something that you think is unfair to you, or hurtful. If that’s the case, I hope you’ll contact me. Being unfair or hurtful is not my goal, and I’d like to create harmony instead, if I can.
I’m not exactly a beginner, but I still have a lot to learn. And my dogs (and my friends) still have a lot to teach me.
I hope you’ll stay with me.
